The Portuguese Institute of International Relations of NOVA University Lisbon (IPRI-NOVA) invites doctoral researchers interested in applying for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PFs) 2026 to express their interest in having IPRI-NOVA as their host institution.

The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme, aim to support the international mobility, career development, and scientific excellence of postdoctoral researchers by promoting innovative and interdisciplinary projects.

IPRI-NOVA welcomes applications in the fields of Political Science and International Relations, including projects aligned with its research lines:

i) Global and transnational challenges,
ii) European governance,
iii) Institutions, policies and political change,
iv) Foreign Policy, Security, and Defence.

📅 Deadline for expression of interest to IPRI-NOVA: 15 June 2026

How to Apply to IPRI-NOVA

  • Title and short summary of the work plan (max. 2,500 characters, including spaces), explaining the objectives of the proposal and how they will be achieved;
  • Detailed curriculum vitae;
  • Motivation letter (max. 5,000 characters, including spaces), describing the work carried out over the past five years and the relevance of the achievements attained;
  • Letter of recommendation.

 

About IPRI-NOVA

The IPRI-NOVA is an academic research institute founded in 2003 by the NOVA University of Lisbon, the Luso-American Foundation for Development (FLAD) and the Orient Foundation, with the support of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. As an institute dedicated to advanced studies in Political Science and International Relations, IPRI-NOVA defines itself as a structured and integrated project around three fundamental axis: scientific research; specialized training – doctoral and post-doctoral programmes; and knowledge transfer and social value creation.
