The group is limited to 25–30 people.

Participants are expected to actively contribute and complete feedback surveys.

What is the focus?

Disinformation resilience and regulatory innovation.

That means looking at questions like:

  • how false or misleading information spreads online;
  • how people and communities can become more resilient;
  • what schools, media, civil society, and institutions can do;
  • how Portugal and the EU are responding through policies and regulation;
  • how young people can play an active role.

Additional opportunity: Changemakers

At the event, four participants will be selected as Changemakers.

Changemakers will have the chance to:

  • join a mentorship process to design public awareness campaigns about disinformation;
  • participate in further project activities, including three in-person events in Brussels and a second national event in Lisbon (Fall 2026 - June 2027);
  • work with other young people from across Europe;
  • present their ideas and campaigns to relevant European audiences.

Changemakers will be chosen based on their motivation, engagement, and contributions during the event.
