Luis Renato Rua

PhD Candidate in Global Studies at NOVA FCSH, with FCT scholarship. Master in International Economics and Management at University of Oporto (FEP/UP). MBA in Agribusiness at ESALQ/USP (Brazil). Degree in International Relations and also in Economics, both at FACAMP (Brazil).

Luís Tomé

Integrated Researcher at IPRI-NOVA. Full Professor at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, where he is Director of the Department of International Relations. His research interests focus on Geopolitics, International and European Security, Asia/ Indo-Pacific, Eurasia/ Post-Soviet Space.

Madalena Meyer Resende

Integrated researcher at IPRI-NOVA. Assistant Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Political Studies, NOVA FCSH. Her research interests include Nationalism, Religion and Politics, Central and Eastern Europe, Political Parties and European Integration.

Madalena Potes

PhD candidate in International Relations at NOVA FCSH. Holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Law from the Portuguese Catholic University, where she also completed the Advanced Program in Diplomacy. Postgraduated in Social Economy and Social Investment Law as well as Public Procurement from the University of Lisbon.

Mafalda Escada

PhD candidate in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the European University Institute. She holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations and a master's in Sociology from NOVA FCSH. Her main research areas include public policy and institutions, with a particular focus on the welfare state.

Manuel Pinto de Abreu

Hydrographic Engineer, MSc and PhD in Physical Oceanography (NPS, California, 1991).

Manuela Franco

Diplomat, former Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (2003-2004), and Director of the Diplomatic Institute (2012-2015).

Marco Lisi

Integrated researcher at IPRI-NOVA. Assistant professor in the department of Political Studies, NOVA University of Lisbon. His research interests focus on political parties, electoral behaviour, democratic theory, political representation and election campaigns.

Marco Gonçalves

PhD Candidate in International Relations in NOVA FCSH, where he is preparing a thesis on “Humanitarian Interventions and the Humanization of the Use of Force. Reflexes in the Architecture of International Security”, under the supervision of Alexandra Magnólia Dias. His research interests include International Law, Military Sciences.
