João Silveira

PhD candidate in Global Studies at NOVA FCSH, where he is preparing a thesis on “The Roles of the EU and NATO in promoting Maritime Security. From Strategic Thinking to Engagement”, under the supervision of Alexandra Magnólia Dias. His research interests include Maritime Security, Security Studies.

Jorge Botelho Moniz

Research Associate at IPRI-NOVA and at the Centre for Research in Politics, Economics, and Society - CIPES, holds a PhD in Political Science from NOVA FCSH. Director of the Degree (BSc) in European Studies and International Relations and Assistant Professor at Lusófona University.

Jorge Tavares da Silva

Integrated researcher at IPRI-NOVA. Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Beira Interior (UBI). His research interests focus on International Relations, Chinese Studies, The Taiwan issue.

José Alves

PhD candidate in International Relations at NOVA FCSH, where he is preparing a thesis on “The gendarmic dimension in the European Union. ESDP and CFSP”, under the supervision of Francisco Proença Garcia. His research interests include Security and Strategy.

José Duarte de Jesus

With a PhD in International Relations by NOVA FCSH, he served as a diplomat in Morocco, Germany, France and the E.U., and was Ambassador to Kinshasa, Brazzaville, Kigali, Bujumbura, Bangui, Beijing, Ulan Bator, Pyongyang and Ottawa.

Integrated researcher at IPRI-NOVA. Coordinator Professor at ISCET and Lecturer at ISCAP. His research interests include the European Union, International Political Economy, International Law and Geopolitics.

Judite Gonçalves de Freitas

Aggregated by the Department of History and International Political Studies of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (2007). Full Professor at Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the Fernando Pessoa University since 2010.

Kaian Lam

Associated researcher at IPRI-NOVA and assistant professor of International Relations at the University of Macau. PhD in African Studies (ISCTE) and successfully completed courses at the University of Lisbon, Portuguese Catholic University, and the University of Macau.
