Associated researcher at IPRI-NOVA and assistant professor of International Relations at the University of Macau. PhD in African Studies (ISCTE) and successfully completed courses at the University of Lisbon, Portuguese Catholic University, and the University of Macau. Has worked with the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Civil Service & Public Administration Bureau, and has also taught at the Institute for Tourism Studies. Within the broad field of International Relations, she is most interested in International Political Sociology. Her expertise lies in migration, borders, and mobilities, particularly focusing on Portuguese-speaking countries and regions. Undertakes interdisciplinary research and collects everyday stories on the ground in order to understand Everyday International Relations.
