PhD candidate in International Relations at NOVA FCSH, specializing in Globalization and Environment, demonstrating and explaining the nexus of climate change, ocean, and security (maritime security and human security, in the Atlantic and Arctic, respectively), with a focus on Portugal due to its geographical position and the role it can play in a new geopolitical context emerging with climate change impacting the Arctic and affecting the rest of the world. Portugal can share its knowledge and receive information from Arctic countries and their populations, consequently defining a position to engage in the Arctic. Formerly an Army Officer, she has worked in various Portuguese companies in International Relations. She is bilingual in French-Portuguese, fluent in English and Spanish (Bachelor's degree in French-English, Master's degree in Spanish).
