Integrated researcher at IPRI-NOVA. Her research interests focus on extremism, radicalization processes, and migration. Her doctoral thesis explored some of the reasons behind the absence of Islamist-inspired violent radicalization in Portugal. In this context, she was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge. She is currently a researcher in the NEW ABC project, funded by the European Commission, at the University of Porto, and a visiting scholar at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs, Leiden University. In October 2024, she began her Marie Curie Fellowship, funded by the European Commission, at Dublin City University.
