Researcher in Comparative Politics at IPRI-NOVA, Michelangelo is guest lecturer at the Center for the Study of Democracy of the Leuphana University Lüneburg, Germany. Co-Editor of the European Journal of Political Research 'Political Data Yearbook', he is executive board member of the IPSA/ISA Research Committee on Political Sociology. Michelangelo Vercesi holds the German Habilitation as Professor in Political Science (Privatdozent) and the Italian National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in Political Science. After obtaining a PhD in Political Science from the University of Pavia (Italy), he taught and researched at the University of Milan, at the Leuphana University Lüneburg (Germany) and for the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC, University of Nevada, USA) in Germany. He held visiting positions in Austria, Germany, and the UK.
