PhD student in International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the NOVA University of Lisbon. Researcher at the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI/NOVA). Doctoral thesis explores the link between identity issues and nuclear ambitions from a regional perspective, in East Asia, contrasting the approach of four countries — China, North Korea, South Korea and Japan — in a comparative study. Other academic interests focus on the relations between Portugal and the European Union with the Indo-Pacific region. Master in History, International Relations and Cooperation from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. Master's thesis entitled “The role of Juche in the nuclear program of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea” explored the nexus between North Korea's nationalist ideology and its nuclear ambitions, approaching the country’s nuclear program through the lens of its state ideology. Bachelor’s degree in Languages ??and International Relations by the same institution.
