Researcher at IPRI-NOVA since 2005 and PhD candidate in Comparative Politics at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon, where she is preparing a thesis on authoritarianism and political reform in North Africa. She completed her Degree in Political Science and International Relations at NOVA University of Lisbon and her Master in History of International Relations at ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon, with a thesis on Morocco’s Political Liberalisation process. Member of the research project "Foreign Policy and Political Regimes: Portugal 1890-2010", funded by FCT. Her research areas are authoritarian regimes, political transitions, North Africa politics and Portuguese foreign policy and has presented her work on several national and international conferences and congresses.
