Guest Lecturer in International Relations at the Department of Law of Universidade Portucalense (UPT) since February 2020, a PhD candidate in Global Studies at the Department of Political Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH) since 2015, and researcher at the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI-NOVA) since 2016. In his doctoral thesis, he analyzes the interactions between globalization, foreign policy and global governance in Southern Europe (Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece). He holds a master's degree in History, International Relations and Cooperation from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (2015), with a dissertation on party politics in contemporary Portuguese foreign policy. He holds a bachelor's degree in Languages and International Relations from the same institution (2013). Pedro has published more than two dozen scientific articles and book chapters and has given dozens of presentations on these topics at national and international conferences. He has a regular presence in the media, being a resident analyst at Porto Canal, with the weekly 'Mundo Plano', analyzing the most relevant international issues of the week.
