The Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) and the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI-NOVA) organized the conference «70th Anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty», on November 18th, at FLAD, Lisbon.
In the first photo, the opening remarks by the US Ambassador in Lisbon George E. Glass, the FLAD President Rita Faden, and the IPRI-NOVA Director Nuno Severiano Teixeira. In the second photo, Michael J. Murphy, from the US State Department, in a debate with Cândida Pinto, RTP journalist.
The IPRI-NOVA researchers Patricia Daehnhardt and Ana Santos Pinto joined Lívia Franco, from UCP, and Thomas Wright, from the Brookings Institution, for a discussion on NATO and European security. Moderation by the TSF journalist Ricardo Alexandre.
Closing remarks by Augusto Santos Silva, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Manuel Carvalho, Director of Público.
