The Research Seminar «Spain and Portugal and the EEC Enlargement» happened on the 22nd and 23rd of October and was organized by Antonio Muñoz Sanchéz (ICS-ULisboa) and by the IPRI-NOVA's researchers Alice Cunha and David Castaño. ICS-ULisboa hosted the Seminar.
The Seminar opened with a single panel about the European integration in the South moderated by David Castaño (co-organizer of the event) and with the participation of Antonio Moreno Juste (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), Alan Granadino (University of Tampere), Emanuele Treglia (UNED), and by the co-organizador Antonio Muñoz Sanchéz.
The second day of the Seminar was comprised of three panels focused on conditional factors (moderated by David Castaño), key players and influences in the accession negotiations (moderated by Eduardo Paz Ferreira), and a final panel specifically about the accession proposals to the EEC (moderated by Pedro Lains).
More than 20 researchers from several universities in Europe, mainly Portugal and Spain, attended the 2-day Seminar.
