The conference «Democracy and Populism in Southern Europe» happened on April 29th in Georgetown University and was organized by FLAD, Georgetown University, and Georgetown European Club. 

Nuno Severiano Teixeira, IPRI-NOVA's Director, was the event's scientific coordinator.

The closing session by Jim Costa, member of the US House of Representatives, and Ana Santos Pinto, Portuguese Secretary of State for Defense.
