IPRI-NOVA's researchers Teresa Rodrigues and Susana Ferreira are organizing the summer course «Migrants, Refugees, and Migrations Management: Europe and the Others», which happens from 20th to 25th July, 2020.

The management of migrations, the security and liberty of circulation while respecting human rights, political needs concerning asylum, and the balance between refugee protection and state sovereignty are complex phenomenons. This course seeks to understand the management of migratory flows within the international context. By the end of this course, students will be able to identify international migratory flows; to explain patterns and tendencies; to evaluate European policies and practices (migrations management, refugee protection); and to develop a set of specific competences (research and analysis) which allows conflict resolution and team work.
